If the gate is close go down the do not enter side. Never had any problems doing this. The Silvers are just starting too show up. It is far from hot fishing though. Good luck. cool

You still have to pay the launch fee. This is a state park launch, not a fish and wildlife access. I think the fee is $5.00. You can puchase a state parks season launch pass if you plan on using this launch or other launches at state parks. The season pass is $40.00 and you can get it online at the washington parks dept web site. Check the dates because I think they run for a calander year so make sure you use it enough to make it worth the cost.

Why is it in this state that in order to play you have to pay. To use a boat launch you have to pay,to use or play at a State park you have to pay, to have a picnic in the national forest lands you have to pay,to fish you have to pay,to hunt you have to pay. Is nothing free any more. It seems that if the state can make money off of it they will charge for it. I'm surprised that they don't have pay toilets at all of those places. Oh I forgot that you have to pay to camp. This has nothing to do with this post, but when I saw that thing about a fee it set me off.

correct were i'm wrong, but i believe the reason for the fee's is to try to raise more revenue because these places are not alocated enough in the first place, i agree it seem's like every time you turn around your paying for something new but without the excess these places might be closed,

They charge fees but how come you never see any improvements. Is the parking lot in Mukeltio(sp) still in need of repair. Is that floating dock still there. Last time I was there it was gone..

I went on a picnic to Big Four last year and Had to pay for a one day pass just to be there. Usually I don't do that I just go but I deceided to be a nice guy for once. I didn't see any improvements there. The same old picnic tables that have been there forever.

I have gone to that new park on the S/fork Stilly and have not had to pay at all. Nice picnic areas upkept trails and very clean.

I'm sorry but once I get started I just can't seen to quit.

didn't see any problems with the parking lot...there are two floating docks...if it wasn't so exposed it would be a really nice launch. wind waves and boat traffic can cause problems

They take out the Mukilteo launch floats in early winter through late spring to protect them from damage. And if the people who use facilities don't pay for SOME of the costs who will?

You could be right there. But being that it's a state or county park it's up keep should have been in the states budget.

Maybe we should lower the teachers saleries. That way we could pay for all of our problems at the park level.

No I'm not. Being as old as I am I can still remember going to school into a class with 35 students and all of us learning things in school. Back then The teachers didn't complain about too many students in a class and being over worked. I better get of this stupid subject because it's not about fishing.

Your memories of school as a child are just that "child"hood memories. I'm sure if you could have been a fly on the wall in the teachers lounge you would have heard a little complaining. I can remember working in the woods and teachers working summers to survive.

Teachers today are probably making the same wages as the ones who taught you in the 1920's Jim. :p
