I dropped some elk off at Traut's dad's house. The Major appreciated it. Anyway, while I was there, The Major was kind enough to lend these to me to make some copies of. They have a print date of 1975, so they are probably a bit dated as to the streambeds, but they are exactly the sort of resource that I was looking for. He said I could have them long enough to copy, and that if I didn't return them, he knew how to use a gun.

Hmmmm...... I wonder how much I could get for a copy of these on Ebay??????????

When you say copy, do you mean scan? If you scanned em and burned a few copies, they would be great for trade or a raffle for the board.

a lot of land has changed ownership and access points have dissapeared through development since 1975...but those maps would be a good place to start if you dont have a gazeteer...i don't think ive ever seen anything in print specifically for river access like that before.

You know a map has gotta be old when it is promoting the fact it lists access spots on rivers such as the Sammamish and Cedar!!

I think the value of the maps are the fact that it is a map of each specific river, and you can write on them, make notes, and have better detail than the Gazetteer. My Gazetteer has been ridden hard an put away wet a few times, but it is mainly used for hunting units and there is no room for notes. It also is a great place to start as a source of referrence material.
