what are the neoprene hip waders like? When im fishing the sky in monroe for steely,s and im supposed to be getting milk and eggs for breakfast. my old red ball rubber hips are 10yrs old. and too many patches. are the neoprenes a pain getting on and off fast. compared to the red ball rubber types.... the river looks good.

Yeah, the neoprenes are pain in the neck to put on and off, so I much prefer to go with breathables. But neoprenes are much more durable and cheaper, although not as comfortable and light as breathables.

These be hippers Nympher, not chest-highs.

I use them (neoprenes) on pretty regular basis in AK in the summer (wear breathables all fall/winter here) both on the boat and when I take people out clamming. I love 'em and would highly recommend them over the rubber ones if you don't mind spending the extra dough. I got my last set from Cabelas smile

I second Bob's recommendation. I've had my Cabella's neopream hip/boot waders for 5 seasons now, and love them. This year the rubber on the boots are starting to crack, but the neopream uppers are still running strong. The only draw back is during the summer when they can get a little warm.
