Looking for a good all around PFD. I want something that will work for a boat as well as for float tubing and river fishing (wading). I would like to get something that will not be too bulky and will allow me to use my vest. I have heard of and used SOSPenders, but are there any other models to choose from?

LittleZOZO's predicament kind of brings this to mind a little more. How many of you out there use PFD's?

I have been using the stearns inflatable fishing vest for about 5 years. It has a oral inflator and a co2 pull cord inflator , they are very durable. i took mine to a sail makers shop and had them add a large back pocket and an inside pocket,I never leave home with out it

Stormy Seas jacket or vest. Every time I'm on the water. Without fail. Hope to fall in one day to make it all worthwhile.

I've been eyeing those SOSuspenders. Found one model at $60. Pretty cheap insurance if you ask me. Everything I've read on them is good, same with the Stearns. I wouldn't buy the automatic though, in case they got wet wading, and activated by mistake.

I just bought an Orvis Inflatable vest. I wanted a vest so I could have it with me whenever I was on the water. After comparing it with the Cabelas and Stearns models I chose it because it has 33 pockets so all of my gear should fit in it. I haven't received it yet but I'll post what I think once I do.
