I'm goin fishing tomorrow. There its partly about fishin. Anyway i was at the monroe rodeo tonite and was tearin it up on the mechanic bull. i was wonderin if any one had any idea of some classes you could take to get started bull riding. i knows theres one at centeral but you have to go to the college to do it.
thanks

P.S. if you have never done this you all need to try! it is so fun and well worth the $3 or so that it costs.

Tyler,
I have to say that you are pretty brave. I have been on a few real bulls when I was stationed down in Fort Hood, TX, never for 8 seconds, but had fun anyway. Best way to do this is with about a 6 pack of beer in your system, ha ha, at least that is the way I did it. I am not sure about where to go and do it, I just rapped with some of the guys at a local rodeo and they were more than happy to hook me up with a 1500 pound bull. I am sure they got quite a laugh out of it, but drank lots of beer and chased women. The key is the beer...gotta have the beer. Oh yeah, I found out that in your free hand (not the one strapped in) it is not ethical to hold a beer at the same time, but it is good for a laugh. Ha ha, good luck.

I've rode a handful of the 12-1500lb bulls, never for 8 seconds though. Did it on a dare from one of my buddies, we have a ranch in Camas that you can go and ride or practice and reality is it's pretty fun. I did sprain my wrist on one of the rides though and that was the last time I rode.
Just strap in and hold on tight!!!

Well, being that I have a lot of friends that rodeo, and that some of them even ride bulls, I might be able to help. If you guys are down south, there is a stock contractor out of chehalis that might be able to help you. His name is Harlan Knowles of Lazy HK Bar Rodeo. If you get ahold of him he might be able to hook you up, and if he can't he probably knows somebody who can.

Them machanical bulls are so much fun!!! I am told that they have a place out near Roy where you can pay and they will put you on a real one. Always wanted to give it a shot but never made the time. This year at the Puyallup fair I was able to put on a lil show with the machanical they had. the guy stopped it and put it in a faster mode laugh I got so dizzy I fell off!!! and my girl friend met me with a big smile and hug when I got off. wink

Tyler Celli,
There are no steelheads in Oklahoma but lots of bull riding. I went to school there for a while.
