There is one launch below the forks. It does have a fee but I'm not sure what it is. The river runs quite shallow there so I'd watch where you're going.

Bentpole --- You may be referring to Steven's (I think that is the name now), formerly known as Beebe's. It costs $3 to launch, or $2 to park just your car. Well worth it, especially since they put a load of rock at the end of the ramp. Now your trailer doesn't fall off into the abyss at low tide.

To get to this launch take the main Woodland exit off I-5, turn west through town on the main drag, turn left at 5th just before the railroad tracks, proceed just past the railroad tracks, turning left on Kuhnis, all the way to where the dike road turns away from the Lewis. Immediate left there.

Oops. Should also have added that there is another launch 1/4 mile up on the other side --- Pekin Ferry. The problem with that launch is that the water is so low on low tide that you cannot even get a jet up there, much less a boat with prop. Beebe's has deep water all the way to the launch, which is only 200 yards up the river.
