I know Bob knows much more about their occurences down here then I do, but I did come across this article while browsing through CNN's site that said they may be a possibility tonight and later on into November.

Hopefully one of these days I will get a chance to see them!!...absolutely amazing! smile

Ryan, there was an article sometime eariler this week on the front page of the Everett Herald about seeing the Northern Lights in the Monroe area. If I remember right it said to look to the northeast and the best times are between 10-12 PM and 2-4AM. Try to find a high (elevation not the other kind) viewing spot away from any lights.

Great heads-up, Sparkey(how's that for a pun!).
I just found a great website for this type of thing.
Check out SpaceWeather.com.
Cool info on meteor showers and other phenomenon.
Would you rather have clear skies for viewing or 3000cfs on the Sky? (where do I get this material?)
Later,
Dan

There were some pretty good displays about ten days ago ... things have been pretty quiet since, but I'm hoping things will get active again before the clouds return.

You can visit:

http://www.sel.noaa.gov/SWN/index.html

and look for the Auroral Map on the right side of the page. When the Index is 9 or 10, it's time to start looking smile

I sure hope that either the aurora really gets going again, or that the clouds return umbrella ... clear boring eves are getting old!
