To carry on with practical this link is to a company that rents out a 38 ft Luhrs with or without the the skipper out of La Paz on the Sea of Cortez. Boat, fuel, skipper, extras, and food will put you about $5000 for 6 days fishing and 7 nights. The boat has a shower and you are mobile so no hotel cost and when you divide by 4 or 5 the cost is very much within reason.

At present airfare to La Paz is around $600 so if 4 guys went the per person cost would be around $1800, with 5 $1600. Oh the owner will throw in the Boston Whaler tag boat.
