The regional director of the Office of Radiation Protection, Earl Fordham, said Thursday that no contaminated droppings have been found in areas accessible to the public.

Notice it says no droppings have been found in area's open to the (public).

Spade. I heard that they monitor the rabbits out there as a good way to track leaks. Theory goes that leaks often show up above ground in salt. Rabbits like to ingest salt. It is easier to track down rabbits than do random tests for radioactivity all over. Just something I heard and it sort of made sense.
