I find it both interesting and disturbing that oil is at $83.02 this morning and my local station is at $3.759 per gallon.
I looked back to todays date in 2009. Oil was at $70.03 and regular gasoline was $2.039 per gallon.
Greed at it's finest and doing well in corporate America.
I'm almost positive it is the presidents fault.

i think it is greed and not just the big oil companies but local station owners. in my area we have two towns , Elma and mccleary, right now gas is 20 cents a gallon cheaper in mccleary than Elma for the same brand

gas on the reservations is atleast .10 per gallon cheaper so go there. In my area diesel just dropped to $3.99 and gas is the same...not the typical .50 per gal premium for diesel. go figure.

"Are you buying your fuel on the reservation Steve?"

Hopefully you don't have to ask that one...Hell no. The story behind why it is cheaper on the rez is almost as sickening as the deal Gregoire made in exchange for $600,000 in campaign cash. To think I met with that two faced pos when she first ran and thought she was going to do what she said she would do...hahaha..

Hopefully we might get someone who is not a total sleaze...but we do live in "vote against your own best interest every election" Washington. Better look and see what McKenna's record has been with the tribes I guess...

Hank the Gov here refunds a good chunk of the taxes for fuel sold at tribal stations back to the tribes. God bless her!

My concern is that the closer one looks at McKenna, and the closer it gets to the election, the more McKenna will adopt wacko conservative baggage as his platform and mantra. If he were to campaign as a Dan Evans style Republican he'll be in like Flint. Hell, even if he is a sleaze, he'd be a smart slease to to that!

So far McKenna looks pretty sensible on much of what I have heard..like education. Inslee looks like a fool stumbling to try to say what he thinks his audience wants to hear.

That matters little in Wa Grizz. Just place a D in front and our fine pugetropolis will vote inslee if he had three eyes and two a$$e$. Other areas of the state don't matter.

Docspud has a point. Inslee is his own worst enemy in this campaign so far. I guess he figures if he just keeps on not giving any clear and cogent answers to any questions he can ride the King Co. coatails into the gov'ship.

Just like Inslee can count on the Democratic King County Vote, I think that Mckenna figures he is the only republican choice. He seems to think he can grab a few of the democratic votes by leaning a little that way. After the joke of Govenor we have now, he probably can win over more than a few if he looks decent. Considering how close the vote has been, I think he probably will win with that strategy.

Aunty,

You really think McKenna is RINO? I haven't gotten that impression. What would it take to make him a "real" Republican? Oppose abortion, oppose gay marriage and any gay rights, oppose all state taxes, oppose the WA state constitutional priority on education, and favor infrastructure that directly serves the wealthiest corporations? We've had those kind of R candidates. They don't win in WA.
