Spent a good piece of time yesterday on the phone with some of the vets in my family and those who are close to my family. As always they are humbled by recognition, and we are all humbled by their service.

Fish on...

My Grandpop served in France during WWI. His only son died at Quadacanal while serving with the Coast Guard during WWII. Thinking of them and other family members who served and sacrificed, on this Veterans Day.

Check out this audio of the moment the guns fell silent on 11/11/1918.

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

My Grandfather Robert F II was in the Aleutians in WW2 and Grandpa Fred was in the Pacific Theater when the ship ahead and behind him both were sunk. Grandma was a nurse in the war. My Uncle Mike was in Viet Nam. I registered for the draft when I was 18. The recruiter got all excited when he saw my long hair and I said don't get all happy,I'm not here to enlist. WW2 saw the greatest generation the world has ever known.

I King Crabbed out of Dutch. When we would off load or fuel up we had some free time to explore a bunch of tunnels under DH. We found a bunch of old maps and other such things which I don't remember. That Matanuska Valley Thunder FCK weed was Dope. After smoking it, it would give you nightmares.
