I need to replace the little worm gear internal metal guide on my shimano and ambassador reels. Is there tacklestores that you know of in the Seattle area that have reel parts as small as this?

I usually go to John's in Everett, but its out of the way and not necessarily a pleasant place to visit and he isn't what I would call "reasonable" on his reel part prices.

what

Thanks in advance,

BD

John's Sporting goods in Everett has always had the Shimano parts I needed.

Thanks Divers for the reply. I got the worm gear parts by calling Shimano directly this morning. Quite a bit cheaper than the tackle place up north. I will continue to hunt for the Ambassador components.

Try Ollie Damons in Portland. Usually a reliable source for reel parts. Do a Web search and you will locate them

If your looking for Ambassadeur I would recommend Linc's. They've been stocking and repairing those reels for years.

I sent 3 abu's to them for repair and they sent back 3 new Abu's 6500C3's for $44 each plus 2 of the old spools that had powerpro on them. Very easy and professional to deal with. I think Dogfish first mentioned PureFishing on the board So thanks to Andy.

Jerry,

You're welcome. I only wish I could find similar service for an old Shimano reel I have, a Bantam Citica 200.
