I would love to open a discussion on the available fisheries of the Euphrates River. There are numerous small stream and medium sized river tributaries, lakes and ponds. The possibilties seem endless. the opportunities abound.
If it comes to war....we might as will win.
I know that this seems weird, but hell, it might be a reality. Let's fantacize.

That explains it... Theres no salmon, trout, or steelhead over there, I'd get pissy too. After the war, we need to open some hatcheries and teach those middle-easterners how to catch them. That would change their priorities some..... Make that place in to a flyfishing mecca!!

Thanks for the post on the Shatt el Arab. Sounds like the river name needs to be changed or some people might think we are trying to fish in a sewer! Shad, huh, the river might support some largemouth, smallmouth and crappie. The temp. seems too high to support Steelies.
