Dragged herring, hootchies and plugs for four hours at Pt. Defiance last night. A couple dogfish and a flounder were the only takers. Didn't see anything caught either. There was a strong incoming tide to start but we even stuck around for the tide change. Very disappointing except that it was a gorgeous night to be on the water. Fishing was great, the catching sucked however.

We went on Thursday, had two nice takedowns, and one real nice one stripping off line, but didn't get either to the boat. A couple other bites, but just couldn't keep anything on. I don't even go out when the tides are running strong anymore, not until we get some fish in there.

Sorry to post so late, but, went last fri. and hit two fish. First one had to chase it a while, but the sealion won the battle. Everyone thought I had a dandy of a fish but NOT!!!!

Lately BigB8, that is a great report! You landed a fish which I call a good day at this point in time. I'm thinking of slicing my finger open just to get some blood in the boat, maybe get the skunk off.

Okay Steve, here's another since I've got access to a PC. (too many kids) Went out with my brother in law and only had one bite which resulted in one fish about 16#. Gutted it and turned out to be an immature white king hen. Given it a couple of weeks and would had gotten some eggs out of it, but oh well. Actually seen quite a few more fish get caught than last time. Imagine Pt. Robinson should pick up. Always seem to here about a large one come of there every year. Not many boats at the slag pile, so there must not be any fish staging to go up river. Anyhows they've got to be coming in soon, one day could make a big difference. Hope this helps...
