Just wondering how your all doing in the rivers for humpies. CraigO and I were out for about two hrs this morning and had alot of action. We hooked into a few and landed a couple, but didn't see a lot caught. I know every day that passes brings more into the river, but how is everyone doing?

My son and I fished the Skagit 8/23/03. He went 3 for 7, I went 2 for 3. Great way to introduce kid's to salmon fishing.

Fished the Snohomish with my son on Monday, we caught 3, not red hot yet. Fished again on Tuesday with a buddy and the bite was on for about two hours and caught our limits. Took the wife out on Thursday and zippo. I think the problem was the clear low-water conditions, no new fish around, and those present were shell-shocked by pink spoons. The fish were in one pocket of water and six boats were flogging it pretty good and still no biters. Need RAIN!

We floated the Sky from Sultan to Ben Howard yesterday and were surprised to see so many fish at Sultan. We only brought one to the boat (TO the boat, not into the boat ), but had a few long distance releases. Great day for a float, even if we did have to drag it about 100'.

Tabfry and CraigO, was that you guys I floated by on on the Sky Saturday? There were two guys (I won't say where, in case that's your zipperlip spot ), that had just landed and released one when we went by in the red Diamondback.

Fast and furious Pink action yesterday in the lower Snoho. My four year old managed to catch (C & R) 7 fish. He had an absolute blast, perfect fishery for the little ones if you haven't tried it yet. Access is a little challenging.

CraigO, Get the Gregor out and launch at Lowell-Rotary park. Fish the Snoho down by the I-5 bridge. That's what I did yesterday and at the tide change it was a slayfest. All the fish were still chrome with sea-lice and there were a TON of them!

No Jeff, it's the one on the Lowell river rd. upstream of Dagmar's about a mile or 2. That's Langus park there by Dagmar's. It's right there where you want to fish, but the parking is non-existant and the ramp was VERY busy yesterday! Rotary wasn't much better, but at least I found a place to park. If I were you Jeff, I'd launch your boat at Everett and run up the river. Get out the trout rods, and the Dick Nite spoons and get the boys into the fish! The tide change is about 5:00 this evening and that's when the fishing was best. You'll need an anchor too. Give it a try!

You could Jeff. There were a lot of people doing it and they were catching fish. I took my boat because I like to follow the schools of fish early in the run. After the bite petered out there, we cruised upriver towards the launch and stopped when we saw schools of rolling fish.
I'm not real sure how to access it from the bank? Maybe off of the Marine View dr. exit somewhere.

Skywalker,
No, wasn't us. We were in the lower Sno. but it sounds like there's a bit of action there in the Sky. How'd you do?

We let one go up close and a couple other from about 20'. Numerous near misses. They are still real spotty in the Sky. Quite a few fish showing at Sultan (possibly waiting for some rain before they can swim up the Sultan R.), but few and far between there and Ben Howard. We had most of our action just below Taylor. The good news was we only had to get out of the boat once to drag it, but it was about 100'! Either that, or use a chute that's only about 10' wide and aimed right at the riprap.

4Salt We were in the same spot and did have a lot of action as well. We had to leave the river at 8:00 a.m., I am guessing before the real good bite. I just purchased another used boat. We will probably be up river this weekend.

My original reply was supposed to say. We didn't see many others caught. We hooked 5 or 6 and didn't see anyone do better than that.
