What a day! My friend Brad and I had a morning to fish Ben Howard to Monroe. First time on the water with my pontoon boat. Brad caught his first steelhead within 30 minutes of launching and then followed up with a 15 pound chum that was in really good shape. I had no problems on this easy drift and the pontoon performed excellent. I even anchored in moderate current and the boat sat nice and still - no weaving at all (except when I took the oars out of the water!). A great morning - I can't wait to do it again! Oh, both fish were caught on plugs - another first for me.

That looks like a great trip Mike. Do you ever flyfish the sky, using the pontoon boat?

Never done the flyfishin thing on the river. Interesting about the steelhead - we had anchored up to give myself a chance to strip off some layers (that rowing warms you up fast!). Just sitting, enjoying the scenery and down goes the rod. Pretty darn cool. laugh

Yes it is. I hadn't been there in awhile and was surprised to see it so.
