I have Monday off and I'm thinking of making a 2 hour drive down to fish Blue Creek..Can anyone tell me if it's fishable?? Since we've got so much rain I'm hoping someone can give me a general report...don't want to drive all that way to find it's too muddy. Feel free to PM me if you wish because it's such a zipper

I have not fished Blue Cr in a couple of years! But all you need to do is to read the fish counts at the Barrier Dam at http://www.ci.tacoma.wa.us/tpu/Cowlitzfish.htm and look at the flows (13,000cfs) and that should tell you all you ned to know!

Now that's a website fish report that would have saved me more than one 3 hour trip south over the years! Thanks CFM! This being my first week on the board, it may be old news to some, but not to me. I hope I can return the favor some day.

dont have a current report but it was really slow this year on the cowlitz. As for the flow, it seems like it can be good at high flow if you fish in the creek it self. dont bother in a boat though.

I fished blue Creek last week on friday only 3-4 people throughout the hole and fishing was slow to say the least. Did hook 1 only for a few head shakes and a long line release. That ws befor they raised the river up to 13K.

I think the creek closed today.ou might check.
