I'm headed down to Cathlamet Friday night to fish for springers on Sat morning, here's the gig... the guy I fish with fishes ugly I mean ugly, if it looks good to him he put it on his line and throws it in, spray it with what ever scent, add 4oz of weight, maybe add some eggs and a worm, and launch it over the side he's a good friend and would do anything to help anybody but now he needs some tips to give him a good foundation to build on.
I want to help him catch his first salmon but he won't listen to me so if anybody want to pass on some good tips we're in a white Ford PU 4x4 with a camper. We will be at the Cathlamet boat launch Friday late afternoon and hopefully be able to launch the boat before dinner.

Don't fish near us it ain't pretty \:D

greenback,

I'll be there Saturday and Sunday trolling Herring and also heading down Friday afternoon.

If yer ugly buddie catches some on them worms & eggs please let me know so I can start digging. I'll bring a shovel and hope I could dig some up on the sand dunes. Do I need a worm harvest permit from the WDFG? Didn't see that anywhere in the regulations.

You are gonna be on an incoming tide all morning and you should see some caught on Herring.

In the afternoon after the tide changes you can anchor up and plunk Kwikfish or worms/eggs combo.

I was there Tuesday and we went 6 for 7 to 21 pounds. Man, if we had them worms I betcha we would have gotten a bunch more.
