How many folks are launching Friday evening and sleeping on their boats?

If you are, any suggestions on good places to anchor? I've heard that there are areas where you're not allowed to anchor, but can't find anything in writing.

Try Andrews Bay....west side of lake formed by land that forms Seward Park. I know a few folks who anchor there over night on a regular basis without any problem.

Far north end of the lake in Kenmore there are some docks with slips. I think the name of the park is Tracy Owen station??? It used to be called Log Boom Park. The docks are supposed to be for day use only but the signs fell off years ago. I've used them for a night here and there and never been hassled. I'll be there in a 26 foot Bayliner named Personal Business. I'm sure there will be others there too!

I will be launching friday night after work (11pm) . As far as places not to anchor up, I would consider staying away from the area around Renton Airport and the Kenmore area because of the seaplanes.

Jursidiction on the lake is split in half, with the King County Sherrif Patrolling the north end and Mercer Island Police patrolling everything south of 520. You could all either office for exact info.

I know Andrews bay is ok on the south end, and outside St. Edwards SP on the north end.

Dont Anchor up just anywhere along the shoreline in the south end though, you may get a rude wakeup in the middle of the night! Find a bay Like Meydenbauer or Andrews.
