We released a 21 inch jack before sunrise, fished till 8 A M and saw only one small silver caught and released. Then it looked like the fog was coming in so we headed to Shilshole, on the way we fished West Point and saw real small silvers being taken by other boats. Still seems slow.. Al \:D

Just got home from Don Armeni (long day!), the fish checker said that there were 50 fish caught today, the largest King being 22 lbs.

Had 2 good strikes during the period from 5:30 to 6:30 AM just west of the river mouth (where those old finger piers stick out), but lost both after a minute or 2. Was using green glow flasher w/ small cut plug herring in about 150 ft of water with the downrigger at 66 ft.

Should have stopped and put sharper hooks on after losing the first one, but I didn't and I lost what felt to be a nice king.

Just prior to the first strike, saw the boat following me net what looked to be a 15 to 20 pounder in front of the Todd drydock.

Talked to the fish checker at Redondo ramp around 1300 and he had only checked 7 fish up to that point. Not sure how many boats but it was real slow up to that point. Stopped by Des Moines and checked to see what the kids derby yielded and they indicated that there not a lot fish coming in today there either. One bright spot in this report was the winning fish in the kids derby was a 23#'er from south of the Point Robinson area. No other details were available.
