Chinook fishing finally picked up last week in the B-10 area. If they aren't at the mouth of the Cowlitz yet, it should be only a matter of a few days until they are.

Sincerely,

Salmo g.

According to posts on another board, the have been catching lots of big fish on wobblers called Alvins and Simonz. 5 foot dropper and 5 foot leader in about 45-50 feet of water.

Just what I read.

It's pretty good, and due to peak in the next week. I'm heading down on thursday and friday, I'll post a report. Ifish has all sorts of good reports. The weather is good (cooling) the tides will be prime early next week in the St Helens/Kalama/Longview area.

The next two weeks are prime, primo, super, hot, etc. You can monitor the counts here. It takes about 5 to 7 days for the fish to move between the mouth and bonneville - you can look at prior year runs and project when the peak might be for whatever range of the river you are interested in.

Yes they are in! Fishing at the mouth was HOT Wed Thu Fri last week. My girls brought 8 of 10 hookups to the boat on Friday by 10:00 am. Here's the biggest of the bunch.

Hey FNP, you are giving me a run for the money! Nice fish, sounds like you and the girls had a great time. Going to be doing the Westport thing Sat, Sun and Monday, stop on by if you are in the area, I know you live near there. By the way do you know Taka, and his buddies with the 27 ft. Whaler?

Hopefully Canyon Man will post a report and pics. We did fairly well on the river as well as out in the salt when things slowed down inside. Had a great time and learned a new area.
We ran into FNP and his crew (all cuties!), they were awesome! He had them all working, he runs a tight ship. Nice work Doc!

And the wooden hammer she's holding is pretty cool, too. ;\)

That is a great pic, Doc.
