If you want to check snowfall levels around the state, check out the following link. The upper Dungeness has 5" of snow and the Dungeness/Elwha divide looks to have about 16". Hope it all doesn't melt in a hurry......

Here is another handy site -
http://www.nwrfc.noaa.gov/

for snow info just click on snow under the weather heading on the left side. You might like the river forecast levels - its track record is so-so - just like weather forecasts.

I wish they had a station in the southern Olympics so the folks fishing that end could see what the snow pack and higher altitude temperatures are. That info plus the lower river gauge info could open up a window of opportunity that might otherwise be missed. Cold up high generally leads to falling river heights, possibly even if it is raining down below.

Double edged sword though. Years ago we would have the Sky to ourselves for a couple of days after a bit storm followed by a cold front. People just couldn't believe it would drop that fast. Now everybody checks the internet and there's 40 trialers in the parking lot.

I agree that the OP coverage is lacking however there are forecast river levels available for teh Elwha, Wynoochee, Satsop, Willapa, and Naselle; available through the 0-14 day forecasts. While far from what you want those forecast would help provide insights into what the near future river levels may be like. That coupled with any of the various weather forecast should give one at least partial info upon which to make your go/no go fishing decisions.

I haven't fished the south end - plenty of water here on the north end of the OP. If we dig deep enough into the 'net links, we can come up with the data we need. With the cost of gas, every little bit helps.
