This is a really scary story...

Seems that some locals down on the Sandy River are spiking boulders...in the river...just below the water line. Some sort of property dispute, from what I gather, so they are making their point by attempting to, and actually, sinking pontoon boats and rafts.

That's pretty scary. Kind of like Eco-Terrorism. Funny how people can take this to the extreme and actually think that loss of human life is less important than personal cause.

Reading in the Whitewater forum....apparently the spikes managed to do some damage to someone's aluminum driftboat, too...

i just saw it on the news but somehow it has turned into an "eco-terrorism" case.... what a joke. as if environmentalists are against the non petrol use of our rivers....
