i use 12 lb siglon florescent line in orange or pink with a 6 ft 10 lb florocarbon leader for most of my summer fishing. If the rivers are real low and clear I go lighter on the leader.

One of my reels has Amnesia flyfishing running line. High visibility, low stretch, smooth, slick coating. Don't remember who makes it or if it's available any more. Cortland Cobra flat running mono is nice too, no stretch, low memory...kinda like some old guy I know.

Hey Centerpin, aren't you supposed to be harrassing someone or taking a bite out of someone else?

Being new to centerpins . I asumed that you used a floating line or braided line like most float fishermen in Wa. but thats what I get for asumming .

Try P-line too, either the regular or Cxx+. It floats really nice. One thing you can do with mono to make it float better not only putting fly floatant on as many people do but get some watershed. It is made for water proofing flies and leaders to make them float. It works really nice for float fishing too. Siglon floats well but I have found its abrasion resistance sucks. Have lost many floats when I used it, sliding shot up and down the line also cause the line to break a lot which shouldn't happen.

I use 10lb Izorline on baitcasting and centerpin reels for summer time steel. 8lb Izorline on the spinning reels.

Yeah, I switched to Izor line a few years ago. I like it and use it on most of my reels.

Hey Centerpin- Your absolutely right. Practicing and sharpening one's skills never hurt anyone...and if I had T-Rex arms like yours I can cast just like you...however, I have a hard time conceptually not being able to scratch my booty when needed. By the way how do you.......nevermind don't answer.
