Headed up the mighty CR.... Chehalis River, that is.....on a hot August afternoon to cool the girls off. Motored up to our own private swimming hole above Monte where we dropped anchor:

Here are my 4 keepers, ready to take the big plunge:

You gotta admit it looks like a fun way to beat the heat, PNW style!.

And let's not forget about that bronze tule:

Man was I tired after hovering against the current to take all those pics. Had to keep my arms above water to keep the lens clean! I just kept sinking further and further into that life vest til it looked like a hood over my head. I guess that's what could happen if I ever got thrown out of the boat by accident. Glad I got some new inflatables on the way.

Thanks for the reminder, Stam.

I added another pic with the two little ones in their life jackets, which BTW they were wearing while we were "under way". Once we were anchored, they only lasted two jumps, and the girls took them off. I told them they had to wear them by law, then they reminded me that we were no longer "under way"

Don'cha hate it when your kids know more than you do?

Great shots Francis.

We're doing a river tomorrow where, depending on the weather, we may have three 30-40 something middle age guys doing the same thing off the side of the driftboat.....though I don't think we will display near the grace and style your girls did. We'll probably scare every fish out of the river, sink the boat and beach ourselves on a log jam to be left to the buzzards :p
