I thought I saw a bunch of extra spots when the fish rolled ... and upon netting I finally realized it was true. October 25 ... and our first winter steelhead of the year! A pretty wild hen ... hope / plan on seeing lots more of them in the very near future!!

The inside says there are a few in the hatheries in the SW WA rivers already.. Hard to beleive though. It used to be we'd catch our first one around the 10-17th of November down here. Keith

Heard an unconfirmed rumor that one was caught in the Dungeness shortly after it opened this month.

Hmmm ... might be the world's most awesome float angler that also happened to cracker off his first 3-4 takes on the float I'm sure that was the guide's fault though! Might not want to take credit with that part to go along with it But I guess the freebie fish makes up for the others!

I saw this guy in the Forks cafe this am, but wasn't really sure if that was Vedder or not. Was waiting for Bob to introduce me (didn't want to look more like a fool than I already am), but it didn't happen.
Sorry Dave, but I thought that was you, but wasn't 100% sure. I would have said "howdy" if I knew it was you.

Dunno. Made someone's short list, though.

Now Bob, "crackered" is a pretty harsh word. I thought the guide was supposed to mention it when the float has been down more than 15 seconds. I would agree it must have been your fault. You gotta admit though that my home made jigs worker pretty dang well. Overall a great day. Thanks a ton!
