COME ON MAN, give it up. Pull that gear outa Powerbait Lake. Go home and wash that
goo off your fingers. Use Lava soap!!! Then get your tail over here.
I got 20+ Lahontins Monday at you can guess where. Waz already 25 guys there on a Monday.
Wouldn't have been so bad, except the bite is so concentrated in the spring.
Hurry up Zen. Before long that triple hog line forms that puts everyone on edge.
They were running mostly 3-4# and a couple were 5-7#One smoked me...nice run for a lahontin.
I'd say this lake is all the way back from the summerkill few years back, thanks to F&G active
restocking program.
Tuesday I waz at ****** *** Lake. spent the morning chironomiding up 11 monster Bows
from the 4-5' level along the shoreline. Four of em were over 20", one 26" and around 6#.The rest
were from 17" to 19". Fight was good considering the cold water.
No hatch and 40 degree water, but they waz looking for chironomids anyhow. Go Figure.
The wind came up around noon and blew us all off the water.

Come on Zen, get it in gear. You know ya won't get 4 fish over 20" over at Powerbait Lake in
10 years steady fishin. Pull yourself together man!!!

I got 20 fish over 4 inches at Powerbait Lake.

Also noticed HPB was there to round out his limit. HPB, which crew were you with on Saturday that first weekend? Were you in the big bunch fishing off the one point or were you one of the two who came in the mid afternoon.

HPB was either powerbaiting with his buddies up to around 1PM or slinging spoons as the two guys were doing in the afternoon.

Ron, I'm doing some chronies to fish with. Not sure who I'm coming over with as my wife wants to stay home.

I do have the name picked out for my next new fly. You'll like it... the name that is, not necessarily the fly.

Hope your new flys name isn't anything insulting like "The Rabble Rousing Ronnie"!
Make it something poetic, something that flows off the tongue like Honey.
I like "Fishnfellas Fancy" yeah, that's a good un.

I was tying up some Brassies the other day and I tried tying some up with silver wire and I thought that I had stumbled on to something new. But alas I didn't. What I found out was that they have a name and it is called a Phantom Pupa. So now back to the drawing board.

I went to the library and checked out some books on fly tying. That's how I found out. laugh

Well thats all for now. Jim S. smile
