I saw a post on another message board posted last weekend about perch fishing off Grote point on lake WA. Anyone know anything about this? I love perch. The guy posted about jiging in 30-40 feet of water. Caught one about 1 pound. But caught over 100 fish. Were on the lake does one launch?

Launch under the I-90 high rise on Mercer Is. then run north up to Grote Pt.

If you get bore with the West side one might consider trying Moses Lake. In about one month under the bridge on I90 (launch on the North side in the park) you will become bored with the 10-12 in perch. Just call a boat dealer in the area before making the journey. I drive 2 hours to get there from Spokane but it's worth the enjoyment...

I'll pulled out all my Hunting and fishing news Mags from clear back to 1998 looking for info on winter fishing on Lake WA. Sounds like it is an awesome lake for Bass Cutts Rainbows and Perch.

I'll give it a shot sunday.

Also try around Kirkland area for those perch, catch one and then use perch meat to catch more. Lake Sammammish is another great perch lake (north end).

Great tip on the perch meat for bait. I use the strip just below the chin...tougher than hell and they love it. You might try perch eyes also,I'll also use them to tip a jig.
