Deep lake in King county is open year round. I really like fishing there, nice lake but don't know it well, but have good luck with worms from Cumberland store. I have not fished it yet this year. Here is the web site that tells you about what's in it. http://www.washingtonlakes.com/king.htm#Deep%20King Here is when, what and how much was planted in the lake this March. http://wdfw.wa.gov/fish/plants/weekly/c040318.pdf And because of the depth, up to 100ft, I think that somewhere in there has got to be one mother of a fish

yeah, its only about 20 mins from me, so im gonna be out there, tomorrow..i couldnt access the sites, this puter software is all wierded out and wont dl, certain stuff, even tho its only about 5 month old..i usually use salad shrimp and do very well on them, when using a slip bobber..that way i can adjust for the depth of where the fish are at.. if its raining, i will be in a blue rain jacket on the lil dock there at deep lake, i might see if i can find sawyer later on in the day tho..does it have a good koke plant or are they native?

Think slip bobbers. Just fish off the docks if you want kokes, bows are another story. They change their depths quite a bit; it gets aggrevating. Around May-June is when I start fishing for them; probably start out about 16 feet. "Chunk o' worm and tad o' powerbait" is what one of the regulars says, and hes 100% right. My most productive rig as of yet is 3 lb leader (18 inch), a size 8 red octopus hook, pea sized amount of powerbait and about an inch of worm. I know its amateurish (I AM an amateur...), but it works pretty darn good. If you want bows, well, they'll be stocking it soon. Just drag something around... That's when I pull out my flyrod because I can actually catch a fish

i caught 5 planters, 2 died on me, hook in the throat/gills.. i do ok there with the salad shrimp, i got some bites when i was fishing at 11 feet, but most of the trout seemed to be in the 7 foot and up range, water was still very cold..will hit it in a few weeks when the water warms up..
