Looking for some heads up or some info on Musky fishing at Mayfield. I have fished them in the midwest but not here.

Is it mostly a troll fishery?
Pulling stick baits or plugs?

Any info will be appreciated.

Lew, when you get to Mayfeild go to the Mayfeild resort and talk to George he is in the know for what is bitig and where. The tacktics and tackle are very much the same as the midwest. There are only a few different areas of shallow water, but they are acres in size. The water is colder there than you would think because it is a flowing river.
Are you signed up for the tournament in September?
Let us know how you do.
You can get a map of the lake from the Fish Country Store in Ethel on hwy 12.

Go to the Mayfield Lake report section on WashingtonLakes.com. There is a banner link to the Resort. You can get the their info there. Also, George will be very willing to help - just e-mail him. Let him know you heard about them on WL.com! Thanks. smile

Do like you would fer Bass, but with those wire leaders and heavier gear. Hit the weed beds. Bring a gat. Also mind where you park. Loser County is Tweekerland.
