Whats the best place to find detailed maps that include the forest service trails and roads.was lucky on the drawing just need to make sure I know where all my boundarys are.

go with the USGS quads if you need 7.5 minute

Get a buddy to go in on a delorme topo 4.0 cd and download to both your computers and you'll be in map haven.

Go to sportco and buy the map for the unit you are hunting. They are very detailed.

Thanks guys for the replies,If i had only read page 57 in the regs it tells you who sells the detailed maps with all the boundaries trail #'s and road #'s for each GMU.

Is a good Source another is go to the USFS Headquarters Office for the Area you want hunt as the the USFS has an excellant set of Brownline Maps as well as Greenline Maps at most USFS Offices. I've got a complete set for the Olympic Peninsula as well as for the USFS Maps of the Lake Chelan Area.

Another good source is from the DNR Office in Olympia for State Lands.

The DNR Photo & Map Sales office in Olympia closed June 30th due to lack of money. No word yet on if/when the state lands maps will be available. There was talk about possibly having them available on the internet. But for now, there is no way to get them.

Didn't know that thanks for the info. I'll still stand by the USFS Maps tough as they are pretty detailed.

Another good source is the National Geographic Society's State Topo Series Map Series on CD ROMS. They are expensive but they are good and they are seemless.

I have their Washington set and they are excellant. The last time I checked their site they have a Map Series for almost all the Western States
