With the days getting longer and the weather warmer bear hunting has been on my mind.

Ill be doing some pre season scouting in the Nooksack, Mt. Baker area.

Is anyone else going to be getting there things in order and doing some scouting???

We're trying to get our house sold so we can move to Bellingham. I'd love to go Hunt bear over there and have been thinking about it a lot lately. I thought about heading up around Index last year but ended up working a lot of overtime and missed the prime season, also didn't have any time to scout (main reason for not hunting out of my known areas)...

Best of luck to you and hope to see some pictures posted here when you see/get one...

Catcher,
i've also been thinking of going this year. It's been about 4 years since i've gone. there are lots of Bears up there. Late august early sept. are good times to go. Just find the berry fields and you should have some luck. Don't know if i'll be able to do any scouting or not (doing a house addition so that will take up most of my time this summer). What i always found intersting is i never saw many deer in that area but there seem to be lots of bears. I wish you well, and the scouting will pay off.
