We landed at Windhoek airport and were meet by our PH's wife. Shortly after getting on the road we came across this sign.

We weren't in Kansas anymore. \:\/ We got to Otjiruse Hunting (the safari out fit we were hunting with) and were meet by Frank Hager and the rest of the staff. They unpacted the truck and carried our lugage to our room. I'll tell you something about one of these hunts, you don't have to do anything. Your are waited on hand and foot the whole time. It's just great.

Anyway the next morning we got this guy.

We had a range finder with us and this was a 230 yard shot. The horns measured out a 58 inches makeing this a gold medel Kudu.

Two days later I got the chance to take the bull Gemsbok I really wanted.

His horns measured 35 inches and was my second gold medel. Finaly on the last day of our hunt I got my zebra.

Managed to get the wife in that one. Anyway it was a great trip, we will be going back in a couple years. If you ever get the chance to do something like this jump at it you won't be sorry.

Nice job and it looks like great bullet placement on the Gemsbock.

Was he shot on the run? It looks as if he has blood splatter on the left fore leg. Also is that a Browning A-Bolt?

Great Job

No he wasn't shot on the run. I think he got the blood on his fore leg when we moved him into position for pictures.

Yes a Browning A-Bolt in 338 wm.
