Ive hunted just about everything in this state except for pigeons. So im asking how the heck do you hunt for them? What types of areas are they in? Does anybody hunt for them? And if your really feeling nice, do you know of any good areas in the King Co area for them? (PM's are acceptable) Thanks

Two areas I've done well in. Areas from 1,000 foot elevation where there are clearcuts and berries, and on the saltwater shorelines. I know of a few areas in Thurston and Grays Harbor counties, but not so sure of King County.

When it was open years ago we got em up Grass mt. & upper reaches of the ridges around North bend. I heard they use decoys in trees but we never did. Look in the snags around berry patches. Then stalk em. If they see you they will fly away before you get in range. If you find a flyway you could sit & wait for some pass shootin.

We pass and jump shot them. Pass shooting is best by the terminal end of their routes. Food is up high, and gravel/water/salt is down low.

I have them on my property, but we have too many neighbors to be blasting them.
