We were up in the Elbe Hills last week and came across 4 or 5 horses that appeared to be abandoned. Did anyone else see them or know what is happening with them? With the snow level where it is they are going to be in a world of hurt very soon.

There was an article where someone rescued them. King 5 news maybe. They trailered them home, and one mare had to be euthanized. Sad.

There was a TV news item. One had to be put down. I think the rest are recovering in Orting.

I am glad someone grabbed them. There was a lot of guys out there and they were on a main line, so I figured someone would do something. Last year I ran across a collared hound dog back on a closed road. It took off on me and about ten minutes later I shot my buck. It was a killer pack out and by the time I got home I completely forgot I was going to make some calls about the dog. I feel pretty bad about it so decided I probably should make some calls about the horses if noone else did.

You can't hunt deer with hounds.
