Was wondering if anyone has a little info on the cz-lux model in 22lr.Was thinking of getting a new target/prairie dog shooter and a few guys at the range mentioned this one. 28.6 in barrel ought to be interesting and not to badly priced. Alot cheaper to plink with. Any thoughts or info would be gladly appreciated.

CZ makes great guns. You won't be disappointed.

I don't know about the "lux", the 452 is a great 22lr. They make great pistols, nice rifles, Shotguns the yeah/neah is a pickum.

I have my 10/22 that has worked well for over 30 years

CZ rimfires rock.
The barrel length is only an advantage for sight radius.
Maybe a disadvantage with low velocity ammo.
CZ Varmint is the shizz without the 28" barrel issue....mine shoots teeny tiny groups all day long.
I'm going to buy a Scout for my son.

i've got the 452 "american", with the 20.5" sporter contour barrel.

it's an outstanding shooter. likes CCI std velocity and winchester power points. i really need to make a rest so i can see what it's really capable of.

the only issue i've had with mine was the sear would sometimes not pop back up after firing, and being that you pull the trigger to remove the bolt, it would sometimes pull all the way out when cycling the action. haven't had the problem in a while, though.

some guys get hung up on the "backwards" safety. if you're incapable of pulling back to fire, i don't think you should be using any firearm.

i'd really like to get a CZ 527 in .223 next.

I have a Marlin 881, it drives tacks with CCI Stingers.
