I've grown tired of hunting Elk in Western Washington. I'd like to go to Idaho next year to hunt Elk and Mule Deer.

I've looked at the Idaho Reg's. I know the cost and the general season timing for rifle hunting.

I've never hunted out of state before and would like to know where I can find more information?

In Washington I generally bike walk in behind gates 2-10 miles looking for Elk. I don't like road hunting but not looking to pack one off of Everest. I've typically hunted out of a travel trailer but not looking to tow a trailer out of Idaho in November.

I've taken Elk in Western Washington. I've taken trophy Blacktails in Western Washington. But have no idea when it comes to hunting other states.

Tons of info on the net. I'm with ya on hunting elk in Wa. I put in for special permits, but also put in for elk in Oregon, Wyoming, and a few others. I manage to draw a decent tag about every 3 years. There are late season cow tags to be had if you just want meat. Not to many folks want to travel for cows, but I like elk meat, and plan on doing a cow hunt out of state this Dec.
