I was given this pistol yesterday.

A Schuetzen Pistol Works 9x23 Winchester 1911. The frame is a Caspian Arms doublestack frame, suitable for .38 Super and other similar calibers. Mags hold 19+1 in the chamber.

Now to get a hold of some ammo.

Nice score. I bet its a smooth shooter..Is that a gold-colored barrel or is it the light in the picture? Looks like it has a couple muzzle brakes to compensate for all that 'super'combustion pressure... Does it have a ambi-saftey too?

Just the sun in the evening making the barrel look a little gold. Two cuts in the extended barrel to reduce muzzle flip. The rounds that came with the pistol are Winchester Silvertips, and my past experience with those was a rather large BRIGHT WHITE fireball in 9mm, so I'm assuming this would be equally impressive, if not more so.

Ambi-safety as well. I'm sure it would shoot through a halibut, probably completely through a school, too. (Johnny Dangerously referrence)

A guy can never have to many 1911's. Regardless of calibration.
