Spotted this track on Hobuck beach west of Neah bay yesterday.

Some of the imprints were as much as 6-7' apart, like the animal was leaping at times then going back to walking. The dime is for scale.

Any thoughts?

On Hobuck I would guess REZ DOG. To many people and dogs around for wild cats to hang with. What time of day was it. Track looks super fresh.

Raccoon. Cats usually don't leave claw marks smile

I've reviewed this track against dozens of animals and its not 100% identifiable. The pad is unidentifiable and barely present, so the animal is light. It has really sharp, exposed claws in a rather straight across line, but no webbing or heavy pad / heal marks. I think the animal is smaller than what its track indicates. 5 cm paw size. It almost looks like it leaping and jumping down. Or running really fast. A young coyote or adult fox playing in the surf is my guess. My first thought was otter, but there is a lack of toe spread and webbing, plus you would have seen it's gait and tail drag marks. It's not a cat, coon or mink. Could be ManBearPig.

I'd need pics of its back feet, the gait sizing (front to back, left to right) to confirm. Tough one...

My thinking as well, but no nail clippers available when you are living in the wild....only TV cameras and dentures.
