Headed to the dry side this weekend to look for some chukar. Great weather this weekend and we managed to find some birds as well. Thankfully it was only 60 or so degrees on saturday and we were able to hunt most of the morning. Bird numbers seemed about average, maybe slightly up from last year.
Here is my first day's limits of chukar and quail... and my tired dog Madison.

A limit of chukar is pretty impressive there D3....damn devil bird. Good job!

SRC's now a limit of those winged devils that inhabit the edges of the earth. Very nice. Looks like you tote a 20 with the yellow hull in the bed.

that shell was actually just one we picked up somewhere, but in fact I did shoot my O/U 20ga for those birds. very tough for me to get away from my pump with chukars... its amazing how many birds you kill with that 3rd shell.

Love my 20 ga O/U but you're right about having a #3 handy.... There must be some natural law of physics pertaining to "the third time is the charm" and a cloud of feathers in the sky
