FishRanger Carcass Registered: 09/26/06 Posts: 2312 Loc: Where ever Dogfish tells me to...	I am looking for a good way to remove rust from a .45 sithout removing the blueing. There is some rust on the top of the slide and and some below the hammer on the back. Suggestions? Thanks _________________________ Due to a minor mishap, I now have 15# balls. . . ... SundayMoney Repeat Spawner Registered: 07/06/04 Posts: 1086 Loc: Everett	I used a pencil eraser to get some light rust off my blued Browning Buckmark. It worked well and didn't affect the blueing at all.

RowVsWade River Nutrients Registered: 11/08/06 Posts: 3405 Loc: Island Time	Use gun oil like break free and some OOOO steel wool and oil the rust and very lightly rub it with the steel wool. Big_Daddy Unregistered	RvW's got it right. 0000 steel wool, heavily oiled, works the best. No need to rub very hard.
