In the Pullman/Palouse area the pheasant numbers were horrible. We have been hunting this area for nine years and have never seen so few pheasants on opening day. The hun and quail numbers were very good. We got into at least four different covies of huns with between 10-20 birds in each. We havent seen very many huns in the area for at least 3 years.
