I used to play in that area quite a bit - many years ago. I kind of was planning on taking my camper there this fall and doing some pheasant hunting and some jump shooting. Today I drove by there on I 90 and it seems that those circular crop areas have popped up all over that area. Can anyone tell me it its still possible to access the north end of the Potholes area from I -90? Can one still camp and hunt there?

If not there, how about Flat Lake?

yes you can get into the dunes and a couple of launches. You can also go in off of Dodson rd on foot or with a small boat but not all the way to the lake.

You can camp off of Dodson, Job Corp and many others.

Yes and Yes-

I typically camp at the State Park and drive up that way though. Pretty darn dusty on the N end and the ORV's will drive you nuts.

Or I troll N on the lake until I get stuck and then get out and start hunting. My avatar is Apple Cup from a few years ago when Sage got in a battle with a burr field and lost

As for the pheasants they are out there but they're wild and run, run, run. Still a hoot. I don't shoot too many but when I do it's a biggun!
