Was the trap an ACME kit?

I built the trap. Caught possums, cats, coons, dogs, chickens, turkeys, and now a coyote. 3'x5'. Better not get stuck in the door.

While it is a live trap, very few animals leave it alive.

Nice catch.
We had a indoor-only purebred Bengal cat escapee once, and I knew he was in the neighborhood, so I put a live trap out in the backyard behind our deck. After 2 weeks of taking inventory of every living thing in the neighborhood except the cat, I gave up and set it up on my deck next to the house. 4 days later I got the cat.

I had trapped squirrels, Possums, 'Coons, tons of other cats, even a small dog. It was kinda fun, except for releasing the coon's... they get a little pissy.

Yeah, been there, done that Ryley.

Some of these animals may have been harmed. Others, not so much. Caught one cat 5 times. Neighbor's bulldog got caught over 8 times.

Don't let me forget to get that trap from you this weekend, Ryley!

There are, in no particular order...

1. Chihuahuas next door that [Bleeeeep!] in my yard.
2. Somebody's cat that digs up my garden and schits in it every night.
3. Some bunnies that look tasty.

...that spend time in my yard. I'd love to catch all of them.

Bunnies will not get released...the chihuahuas and kitties will hopefully be terrorized enough to not only not come back in my yard, but hopefully will leave the county and never come back.

Fish on...

Todd

Spray bottle, or a hose. Hose sends much more of a message, and more water.

They're in there at night when I'm not out there waiting for them...if they were there during the day they'd already be...dissuaded.

P.S. Just think how much the kitties will like it when they are hosed down while they are in the trap.

You guys are such meanies.

Here's an idea....
Get some skunk scent and hose the little menaces with that, then release.
Should have a lasting effect on the menace and it's owner.

I'm here to help.

Be careful with the skunk spray
Remember the farmer that caught the coyote in his hen house. He drove it out in the middle of no where, straped a stick of dynamite to it, lit the fuse and let it run. Coyote ran under farmers truck and hid there for the short remainder of it's life. Farmer had to walk home and Ins didn't cover the truck.

There are plenty of coyotes that live in the city...a country coyote like that wouldn't last a week wink

The problem with cat owners and chihuahua owners is that they think everything the little basttards do is "cute"...barking, schitting, digging in my garden...

"Aww! Look at how cute they are digging up and shittting on your food!"

...maybe I should offer to take a schit in their refrigerator?

Now that would be cute.

Fish on...

My wife and I watched "our" coyote eat some of the left overs of 22-eating fruit theives yesterday. Both the coyote and a raven are regulars at the "breakfast table". The coyote here looks about in the same shape as the first pic.....would think there would be plenty to eat, but he/she sure looks scrawny. One of the coyote hating neighbors will eventually shoot it, I'm sure. My chickens are safe as the dogs can almost get to the pen and keep Mr. Yote at bay. The neighbor has at least six cats (seven, maybe) and the coyote has never taken one even though half of them are outside cats.

Cats and gardens.....lovely....Todd, did you know that sausage is a plant tuber? smile

Saw a 'yote not 50' from the driveway as I was leaving work last week. He looked to be in pretty good shape for this time of year in his summer coat, more brown than tan. We have a ton of rabbits around the office building, so they probably keep him well fed.

Speaking of critters in gardens, we've been working on our landscaping this spring. And the resident deer herd that formerly were "so cute" are now unwelcome rodents. The bastards sample damn near everything I've planted, including all the "deer resistant" plants. I've got so much plastic netting covering vegetation that I can't hardly walk around without getting tangled up in it!
