So, a couple of my fishing friends decide to head down to visit another buddy south of Bend for a weekend. He said he's been seeing some elk, so my friend decides to throw his bow in just in case they wanted to do a hunt.

No scouting, no prep, no familiarity with the area...

Arrive in the area and find a water hole.
Hike into water hole first evening, and it is crawling with elk. They cautiously back out, and decide to come back in the dark of morning and wait for daylight.

Come in, get set up and wait. Sun comes up, my buddy hits a cow call a couple times, and out of nowhere, Mr. Big steps out at 25 yds. WHACK!
Mr. Big takes a dirt nap.

50" inside spread
59 & 57" mains.
Green score is over 360!

Public land, no scouting, Orygun! Damn!
