Hit the Cowlitz yesterday. Started of fishing the wall down from Blue Creek. We had a double on, lost one, landed a nice little king around 6 pounds. Let it go. We then headed up to Barrier where my buddy landed a beautiful 12-13 pound wild coho, we let her go. Wow, what a nice fish......Cromer. Then my other buddy hit a nice 12 pound summer run. A long day. On the river at daylight and off around 3 pm. Not a bad days fishing.

Just an update for the board. Fished the area below the dam yesterday. Boondogged for a while with no success so we switched to backtrollin' plugs. The first 4 passes we had fish on and put 2 of those in the boat. Both were silvers, an 11 lb chrome bright hen by my Dad and a 10 lb slightly colored buck by my friend Darrell. Lot's (like about a billion) of bankers and not that many boats. Most of the boats were anchored up pullin' plugs and weren't having much success. The bankers looked like they were gettin' there fair share of fish. The bite died around 11:30. Did see more fish caught later in the day by a guy with his Son, they were doggin' the same stretch of river we were on.
Good luck and tight lines, Jeff
