Tk awhile back I asked about best lures for chums, you said float and jig, so I did that and I've been having good results, but today things got tough, fish rolling right in front of me but no takes. I remebered you said to add some prawn if this happens, can you be specific on the prawn part. Thanks for your help, fiveweight.

I have good results with the cheapest prawn you can buy at the grocery store. 50-60 count works fine. Cut each prawn into 3 or 4 pieces and put a piece on the bottom of the jig. Good Luck

I have had real good success using cooked shrimp for both summer and winter steelhead. Makes me wonder sometimes if it really matters what you throw at them so long as you get it in their faces.

I missed the chat about Jigs working for dogs awhile back just how good do they work? and what colors are best? I have heard about jigs for dogs but didnt want to waste my time with it when i knew that there were silvers and kings in the river and have hooked dogs while fishing for them. My question is though how good do they work? and has anyone ever hooked a king or silver on a jig?

Pink and cerise seem to be the best colors for chums but I've also caught alot of them on white. I've caught alot of kings and silvers on jigs, got a nice silver yesterday while chasing summer runs on a red/white jig.........a nice bonus to go with the 2 summer runs I landed!
