Silverspoon, you must be right handled. I do quite often get the right side letters pushed before the left side, like in "colwitz" or "thnaks. Where you were reading "cowlitz" and "thanks".
Don't worry to much, everone gets heckled about spelling sooner or later and most of the time it is typing the is our down fall, not spelling.

Silverspoon-
The Columbia opens for kings Aug. 1st, but not the Cowlitz itself. Anything above the boundary markers at the mouth are off limits for kings. Last year the Cowlitz was open for them - got a spunky 16# on the lower river fishing steelhead gear - quite a ride!

Back to your original question about steelies on the lower river - I'm waiting for the river to drop to about 3500-3800 or so around Blue Creek before I head down. I had a hell of a trip below Blue Creek last Monday - limits for the whole boat - 8 beauties! Nice, fat fish. I don't like the Blue Creek combat fishery - it was below the all of the madness where we had our good day. I'll probably be headed down to the lower river in August. See you down there!
