i tried on a pair of waders at Gart sports in lynwood last saturday. they were very comfortable, but they didn't have the right size.before i buy them i would like to know if they are any good. are they warm. i tried on a pair of wadelites. the price was $130. they were 150 at g.i joes and at the sports authority. does ted's in lynwood have them at a reasonable price?

They are not too bad for the price, I got mine at Outdoor for $90 last spring. They are not simms or bare but they will do the job. I think these are better then the light ones that cabelas sell, my .02 cents. good luck.

No breathable waders are warm, you have to layer your own insulation underneath. I tried a pair of Hodgman Wadelites last winter and they worked just fine until the crotch began to leak after three months of intensive use. I have recently had two pair of Cabela's (one Gore-Tex and one Dry-Plus II) and found them to be quite comfortable and, so far, leak-free. The Dry-Plus IIs have to be one of the best bargains available in a breathable wader.
