Forecasting thunderstorms. Hard dry earth will shed water fast.

Nothing worse than heavy rain on fresh burned ground. The ground soil is really fluffy from the fire and has zero holding power ala what you see in CA many times.

Well, at least the sky’s not falling !

Rain needed.....my lawn is turning brown, garden needs water, local rivers are low. Satsop at "hiway boat launch" is very low AND river is moving back to the West, going to be a major "pain in the ass" trying to launch October 1. Might be lot's of boat people, that will be walking the low water rivers this year.......

Don't think much is in the forecast. Maybe one of those tropical storms/hurricanes will bring us some water. Heard that spots on the Big Island got 17". Personally, a storm like that that sat on top of streams from which we have recently removed dams would go a long ways to getting the sediment load back to normal.
